Butter Cookies (Thumbprint)

Thumbprint Cookies

Buttery delights….


1-1/2 cups Butter

1-1/3 cups sugar

3 Egg Yolks

3-3/4 cups Flour


Cream butter and sugar.

Add egg yolks and beat well.

Add flour, mix well.

Chill several hours or overnight.

Roll into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 325 degrees for 5 min.

Remove from oven. Using wooden spoon, poke  an indentation  in the cookie.

Fill with your favorite colorful  jellies.

Return to oven for an addition 3-5 min. Remove immediately to counter to cool.

Makes 5-6 dozen.
