Chocolate Again?
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
1 pt. sour cream
3 eggs
12 oz. chocolate chips
3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. nuts, optional
Cream butter and sugar. Add sour cream and eggs. Beat together with dry ingredients until well blended. Fold in chocolate chips. Grease and flour pans (2 regular loaf pans or 4 mini loaf pans). Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hour.
Glace: Optional
GLAZE:
- 1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 to 3 tablespoons half-and-half cream
- 1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch salt
For glaze, melt chocolate chips and butter in a small heavy saucepan; stir in cream. Remove from the heat; stir in confectioners’ sugar, vanilla and salt. Drizzle over warm breads. Cool completely.
